About Teletherapy

What is teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a form of online video conferencing which will allow us to provide services outside of an office setting.

I have always been a strong advocate of conducting therapy based on convenience for busy individuals and families, thus quickly adopting a completely online platform where we can work together almost identically to an in-person setting, but on your time and in the comfort of your own home. In fact, online telehealth counseling can be beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is a bother for you, and often results in success rates that are higher than or equal to that of traditional in-person therapy. During this time of social distancing, it allows our practice to continue to support you, without any health risks to your family or ours.

What do I need to participate in a teletherapy session?

For your appointment, you’ll need a private place and a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and high speed internet. I’ll provide you with access to a secure video conferencing software free of charge. All you have to do is be on your device and logged on at the time of your appointment. Our interactions will be completely secure and confidential, as my teleconferencing software encrypts all forms of data, including video and audio.
